4* Sea Kayak Training

Sean and I are planning to kayak round Scotland this summer so in order to get some skills and knowledge we booked onto do our 4*.  We did it with Stewart Wagstaff and had a great 3 days learning all about tidal planning and coastal nav as well.  We stayed at Amy's house and during an evening Robert sat down with us and gave us loads of tidal advice about our route.

Climbing with StAUMC - Buachaille Etive Mor

20 degrees in Scotland means only one thing... climbing.  James and I joined the mountaineers on Saturday to climb some awesome routes on Buachaille Etive Mor.  Annie climbed with us as a three and we got 3 incredible routs done on Rannoch Wall.

A Scottish adventure

A weekend was planned to hit up some of Scotland's fines creeks however with no water plans were changed.

We ended up paddling the Upper Spean on 3 pipes then heading North up the East side of the Great Glen and falling of a low volume 8m drop.  That eve was spent in a deserted house up a beautiful glen.  We ate spit roast roadkill pheasant and slept on hay before scouting the nearby tribs the next day.

With no water the next day, we drove to Glen Etive and pointed at a hill to climb.  We ended up at the top of Bucheal Etive Begg greeted by lost of people in ice axes and crampons.

Snow with Louisa

Before Christmas, Louisa came up for 3 days of fun in the snow.  We went, boarding, skiing and then had a bike adventure in the snow up near Breamar.
